Development Lessons from Conflict and Post-Conflict Zones Growing a Country in the Midst of Crisis

In collaboration with Mennonite Central Committee, Food for the Hungry, CIDA, BC Council for International Cooperation and the University of the Fraser Valley.
Three expert panelists present some hard-won lessons from their experiences of the successes and failures of implementing sustainable development initiatives within a context of violence, natural disaster, political unrest, etc. This is not a presentation about emergency aid, but rather the reconstruction and aftermath of building peace, security, infrastructure and capacity during or after a crisis. The panelists are from Mennonite Central Committee, Food for the Hungry Canada and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
